If you missed my posts on Twitter and Facebook on Tuesday, I would like to announce: my car is now 100% mine. I made the last payment for the "Thrifty Mobile" of $99.98 on Tuesday. Meaning, I no longer have a car payment and will soon have that car title in my hand.

that is awesome! Give yourself a pat on the back. I can not wait till we owe our cars. I pray to never have another car debt again :)
So does that leave you with just the IRS debt and the physical therapy one. I think that is all I saw on your sidebar. If so..you will be debt free very soon!

plus your savings goals?
I think you can payy all the above offthis year and save for your wedding.
Are you getting a tx refund (that will offset some of the IRS debt?)
Thanks D and D and Becky R. That is correct as for unsecured, non-housing debt all that is left is Chase (rollover of the Fingerhut) debt, the IRS and PT Bill. Of which, that Chase/Fingerhut Debt is the only debt remaining in the original debt that I started this blog with.
The IRS I hadn't included and the PT debt occurred after I started the blog. All three of which, I expect to pay off this year, including nearly $800 of new medical debt.
Doesn't it feel great! I just made the final payment on my car too on Tuesday Feb 23. Now that money is going to be applied toward my husbands car payment and we should be done with his car this summer!

it does, it really does. I am so looking forward to getting the rest of my debts paid off now. Not to mention getting the wedding and honeymoon paid for (with cash).
Congratulations. There's not many feelings like being debt free. My website has a new feature I'm in the beginning stages of promoting. It is my Debt Free Wall where people can share their debt free stories. I hope people can use it to teach others about how to become debt free. I really think the only way we can financially straighten thinks out in this country is from the ground up. This is going to take people working together and setting the example and being good influences on other, just like your blog is doing.
